A bus called the safari bus takes campers to little harbor from the ferry dock in either two harbors or avalon however it s closer to two harbors where backpackers can walk the seven miles to camp via roads and trails. This beautiful campground is the only one on catalina s remote backside. 23 campsites are available. It s a somewhat remote campsite located on the west side of the island.

There are no amenities other than andy gumps water spigots and a ranger with firewood and water. Little harbor is the site of a great beach and one of the best campgrounds on santa catalina island. All camping options give you access to showers chemical toilets fresh water picnic tables bbqs and fire pits. And there s no better way to experience this beautiful island than to be at one with the natural surroundings on a camping getaway.

The campground offers rustic primitive camping and has vault toilets and outdoor cold showers. Your cell may not work there.
